password-protected
donor database. Once an infertile couple or person selects
you, under a doctor’s care, you will begin taking
a hormone for approximately three weeks. During this
time, a doctor located where you reside will closely
monitor you. You will then be scheduled for the procedure
to remove or retrieve the eggs from your ovaries. The
retrieval is done in an outpatient doctor’s office
while under a light sedative. Most donors are able to
return to school or work the following day.
Q. Does the egg retrieval hurt?
A. The procedure is done using a light sedative, so
you will not feel any discomfort during the procedure.
After the retrieval, you may feel slightly groggy from
the sedative. You may also feel some mild cramping,
similar to menstrual cramps, but this usually goes away
in a few hours. Q. Will
I have any out of pocket expenses throughout the process?
A. No! The recipient covers all related expenses throughout
the donation process.
Q. How much will I be compensated
for the donation?
A. Our donors are compensated $7,000.00 for their
time and commitment to following through with
their egg donor responsibilities. This fee increases
by $500.00 upon each successful donation. Egg
donors are able to donate up to six times. Q. Why
should I work with Family Creations?
A. Family Creations understands that there are many
reputable programs for you to work with. No other program
offers as much dedication and sensitivity to their donors.
We have an experienced and organized staff, dedicated
to matching our donors and managing their donation cycle
with care and compassion. We offer around the clock
service by providing you with your case manager’s
cell phone number. If any questions arise, they will
be addressed immediately. You will never feel pressured
by or confused about any step of the process. Upon completion
of the process, our donors feel proud knowing they were
able to help someone achieve their dream of creating
a family and, at the same time, they are able to accomplish
some of their own personal dreams with the compensation
they have earned. Q. What
characteristics are you looking for in a donor?
A. Family Creations is looking for responsible, bright
and healthy, non-smoking women between the ages of 20
and 29, of all ethnicities and religious backgrounds.
Q. What are the chances that
the recipient will become pregnant?
A. The recipient has approximately a 65 - 75% chance
of becoming pregnant with the assistance of a healthy
donor. Q. What is the
time frame of the donation process?
A. An average donation cycle usually lasts between two
and three months. This is an approximate time frame
and can vary based on different factors related to a
particular cycle. Family Creations will explain the
time frame and process in detail upon acceptance into
our program. Q. Will my
donation be confidential? Who is able to view my profile
and pictures online?
A. Your donation will absolutely be confidential.
Family Creations understands that confidentiality
is a concern to both recipients and egg donors
alike, and therefore you will not know your recipient’s
name, and the recipient will not know any of your
personal identifying information (such as last
name, address, etc.). Our donors’ profiles
are password-protected and only registered recipients
have access to view the profiles. |

that communication is one of the most
important aspects of any successful egg donation match, and we work every

Many clients come to Family Creations with horror
stories about other agencies not answering phone
calls or returning calls for weeks. Once you
select a Donor with Family Creations, we are

You will be provided with your case manager’s
cell phone number so if any issue or question
arises; we are just a phone call away to assist
you. We treat each of our clients as if they
were a part of our family. We take pride in
our rewarding work and exceptional service.
Q. Once I have selected
a donor, how long until the egg retrieval?
A. Once you select a donor, the process generally
takes about two to three months. This is an
approximate time frame and can vary based on
different factors related to a particular cycle.
Family Creations will explain the time frame
and process in detail upon acceptance into our
program.
Q. Will I be in any kind
of legal arrangement with my donor?
A. Yes. We will be glad to refer you to an attorney
specializing in third party reproduction. They
will draft and review the agreement with you.
We will refer your donor to an attorney who
will then review the agreement with her. This
contract is in place to protect both your and
your donor’s best interests and is an
critical piece in the egg donation process.
Attorney fees are paid directly to your attorney.
Please contact Family Creations for more details.
Q. What if I do not have
a physician that I am working with? Can you
help me find one?
A. Certainly! Family Creations has established
relationships with clinics all over the country.
We would be glad to find you the best clinic
and doctor to fit your specific needs.
Q. Does Family Creations
work with single parents or gay couples?
A. Yes! We believe that the right to have children
should be available to anyone, regardless of
age, sex, religion, ethnicity, nationality,
or sexual orientation.
Q. Will my name and personal information be
confidential?
A. Absolutely! Family Creations understands
that both recipients and egg donors alike are
concerned about confidentiality. Therefore,
we do not reveal the donor’s last name
to the recipient, nor will we reveal any of
the recipient’s personal information to
the donor. Confidentiality is one of our main
priorities.
Q. Where is your office
located?
A. Family Creations is located in Woodland Hills,
California. However, we work with clients all
over California, the country, and even internationally.
While we would like to meet with all of our
clients, we understand that schedules and/or
locations might make that difficult. We are
available by phone and e-mail to make our services
accessible to everyone, regardless of location.
